Knowing how to identify when an athlete is struggling with disordered eating and knowing what to do next can be challenging - but everyone who surrounds athletes has a role. This presentation will provide you with strategies on ways to identify, and what to do each step of the way, no matter your role.

The audience will learn how to:

  1. List strategies for screening and assessing the causes of low energy availability, including disordered eating and eating disorders.
  2. Identify risk factors for disordered eating and eating disorders, and develop protective mechanisms to create a healthy culture that supports high performance and fueling strategies.
  3. Understand and outline each staff member's role in identifying, treating, and referring athletes with disordered eating and eating disorders.
