Courtney Brown MS, RD
Athletes are like sports cars, you can’t just put any type of fuel in them. Only the proper fuel will provide the best performance just like how proper nutrition produces the best sports performance.
Courtney's bio...
Courtney Brown is a registered dietitian who strives to help athletes perform the best they can because Courtney herself was once in their shoes. She participated in multiple sports as a kid including soccer and swimming. One sport she quickly became passionate about above all the others, softball at the age of 12. She played high school, club, and college softball at both the NJCAA and D1 NCAA level. In 2016 she was an NJCAA First Team All American and a NFCA NJCAA DII Second Team All American at Pima Community College. From the community college level she transferred to a Division 1 Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA). In 2018 while at SFA Courtney was named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athlete with a GPA of 3.81 all while majoring in nutrition.
After graduating from SFA Courtney continued her education by receiving her master degree from Texas Women’s University all while completing an dietetic Internship at the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center. Since becoming a dietitian in 2021 Courtney has spent her time in various areas in the nutrition field such as working as a Performance dietitians at Lamar University, working with My Sports Dietitian in multiple areas, and as a clinical dietitian with high acuity patients.
With her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 dogs along with road cycling. She actually just completed the 63 mile ride in the El Tour De Tucson. Other than biking Courtney also is a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoys watching games with family and friends. Sports are Courtney's passion no matter if it is softball, swimming, biking, soccer or football. All athletes deserve the opportunity to perform their best and proper fueling is one way to do that.
